Matthew Hall Presents on Environmental Crime and Environmental Victims at the Ministry of Justice

June 2016

Matthew was in London today at the invitation of the Ministry of Justice Victim, Witness and Criminal Justice Delivery Team to present on issues surrounding environmental crime and the support of environmental victims. It was a lively session  with lots of questions from the assembled audience of civil servants and PCC liaison workers. Matthew also discussed his work on Environmental Sanctions in the EU and projects being undertaken by the Lincoln Centre for Environmental Law & Justice more widely.

Professor Hall said: "Traditionally there has been something of a disconnect between policy maker's and academics in areas of criminal justice reform. It's wonderful that we have now reached a position where there is much greater exchange of opinion, information and evidence between the two spheres"
