Dr Stephen Turner's meetings at the UN offices in Nairobi

May 2015

At the end of April Dr Stephen Turner visited the UN offices in Nairobi for meetings with representatives of the United Nations Environment Programme. The meetings were extremely useful and formed part of the ongoing work for the Global Environmental Governance Modelling Project within the Centre of Environmental Law and Justice. Overall the visit provided an opportunity to share perspectives and exchange ideas on the way that the project can be further developed and the potential that it has to contribute to the ongoing dialogue and work relating to the UN's 'Sustainable Development Goals'. We are particularly grateful to Ms Elizabeth Mrema, the Director of the Division of Environmental Law and Conventions for her time, for facilitating the main meeting and for making the partnership between the Global Environmental Governance Modelling Project and UNEP possible.
