Magna Carta and Environmental Justice

Professor Duncan French was recently a member of an expert panel discussing Magna Carta's relevance to the present day environmental struggles with particular reference to access to the courts for environmental justice.

Taking part in the well-known Castle Debates ( ), with over 200 people in attendance in the audience, Professor French spoke about the need for careful, contextual, application of Magna Carta principles to the modern day being neither strict historical analogy or ahistorical myth-making.
